Stories: on the Brink

Coming up October 8th, 9th and 10th is the world premier of “Stories: on the Brink.” This play was written by Colleen O’Doherty, inspired by stories heard in story circles facilitated by Anastasis’ artistic director Haley Haas (who is also directing) and workshopped in the same shelters where the story circles were held. The story follows a group of people as they navigate the homeless shelter where they’ve all landed. The rehearsal process is well underway, with a hardworking director, stage manager (board member Stephanie Kidd) and cast putting in hours of hard work. This has been a great collaboration between Anastasis Theatre Company, Great Plains Theatre Commons, MICAH House, Siena/Francis House, Open Door/Lydia House, Stephen Center, and the Holy Family Community Center. There are many others to thank here, including actors who performed in the workshop readings and all those who have supported the development of this play.
